The focus of this group is to engage in study and reflection leading to a deeper appreciation of various world religious traditions, beliefs, values, and practices contributing to a better world and sustainability of life in all communities.
Interfaith cooperation is a call to action for believers and non-believers to engage with others of differing world faith traditions (« click link to view)in a constructive way, and deepen our understanding of the Creator’s plan for all mankind.
We employ a methodology looking at seven dimensions of spiritual experience as our framework because it provides a comprehensive, balanced approach to understanding spirituality in all its complexity.
By examining ritual practices, emotional experiences, narrative traditions, philosophical teachings, ethical guidelines, community structures, and material expressions, we can appreciate how spirituality manifests holistically in human life.
This multidimensional approach helps our study group avoid reducing spiritual experiences to just beliefs or practices, instead recognizing that spirituality encompasses both internal feelings and external expressions.
The framework allows members with diverse backgrounds to find common ground while honoring different paths, creating space for meaningful dialogue across traditions. By exploring all seven dimensions, we develop a richer, more nuanced understanding of how spirituality functions in both individual lives and broader communities.
We include in the scope of our study tribal and indigenous voices in interfaith discussions, recognizing these communities have a deep understanding of spirituality and connection to the Earth and can enrich interfaith dialogue.
